Welcome back! A new PGA Tour season starts this week and you'd probably have no clue if not for Tiger Woods announcing he won't be playing in the Safeway Open just three days after saying he would. Talk about a flip-flopper in an election year. . . Anyway, Joel Beall and I got together to discuss Tiger, Phil Mickelson, some season-long sleepers to watch for, and Justin Thomas' biceps on this week's Fantasy Fix Podcast. Have a listen:

And if you're more old-school and would rather just read my normal weekly picks, here's who I'm taking on my PGA Tour Fantasy Golf team in Napa:

Paul Casey: In most sports it's difficult for momentum to carry over from one season to the next, but Casey's torrid run in the FedEx Cup Playoffs (two runner-ups and a fourth at the Tour Championship) happened last month. This is a great spot for him to finally pick up PGA Tour title No. 2.

THE GRIND: Tiger plays with our emotion and DJ/Paulina chill in Cabo

Justin Thomas: JT's superb second season on tour nearly earned him a Ryder Cup spot. It all started in Napa last year with a T-3 in this event. Plus, you should root for him since he's donating $250 dollars to Hurricane Matthew relief for every birdie he makes for his first three tournaments this season. And it looks like he used the short off-season to get pretty jacked. . .

Patrick Rodgers: One of our 13 sleepers to watch this year, Rodgers is coming off a decent first full year on tour. And one of his three tops 10s came right here at Silverado Resort with a T-6. He won't get to hang out more with a certain fellow Stanford alum, but we're still expecting a successful week.
